Oregon Offshore Adventures 2019
Vancouver - Astoria offshore training: 5 days
Oregon Offshore Race: 3-4 days
This was our most popular event in 2018. The voyage from Vancouver through the Gulf Islands, then out into the Pacific Ocean where we spend two nights is a great introduction to Offshore Racing.
The Oregon Offshore Race is for the experienced sailor and adventurer who wants to get their first offshore race experience.

Vic - Maui 2018
Salient Racing Team
Simply Sailing is proudly sponsoring the Salient Racing Team.
Salient is entered in the 2018 Vic Maui International Yacht Race. The start date will be early in July. Follow the team as they prepare for the big sail across the Pacific to Maui. For more information, pictures and a look behind the scene check out the team's Facebook Page.
Maui - Vancouver 2020
Maui - Vancouver: 18 days
Join the Salient Team and sail from Maui to Vancouver: The ultimate adventure. You will be able to join the team during some of the training and practice races in Vancouver. In Maui you can participate in all the Vic-Maui related activities as part of the Salient support team. That includes the Salient Team welcome party after the race.

Day 1 Vancouver - Gulf Islands (anchor Clam Bay)
Day 2 Gulf Island - Victoria (dock)
Day 3 Offshore sailing (non-stop, at night)
Day 4 Offshore sailing
Day 5 Arrive in Astoria
The entrance to the Columbia River Bar can be tricky at times and a successful crossing depends on timing with wind & tides. This might require to adjust the schedule to arrive a day early or later. Please take that into account when planning.
We will help to organize transport from Astoria to Vancouver.
Oregon Offshore Race
Day 1 Boat preparation & safety orientation (at the dock, in Astoria)
Day 2 Race start
Day 3 Racing - possibly finish late night in Victoria
Day 4 Likely day to finish race / travel back to Vancouver
Day 5 Back up day to travel to Vancouver
