About simply sailing school
Simply Sailing is based on Granville Island in Vancouver, Canada. Our approach to sailing is simple: Practical learning on local waters, aboard a forgiving boat, with friendly and qualified instructors. Taking sailing lessons will give you the opportunity to explore the exciting world of sailing and become a competent sailor and, ultimately, captain.
We are registered with International Yacht Training (IYT) and Sail Canada (CYA)
Sailing Classes Offered
We offer basic, intermediate, advanced and offshore sailing lessons. Private sailing lessons, introductions to sailing and performance sailing clinics are also available. During the sailing lessons, you will learn about boat handling, seamanship and safe boating. Each sailing class will build upon the previous sailing lesson, expand your sailing knowledge and competency.
Format
The Basic Sailing course is offered both as a day sailing program on weekends and as a live aboard course. The Intermediate and Advanced Sailing courses are live aboard courses.

The liveaboard classes will take you to the spectacular Gulf Islands, Howe Sound, or along the Sunshine Coast. The offshore training could take you from Hawaii to Vancouver on an adventurous 2,500-nautical-mile sailing expedition.

We encourage you to improve your sailing skills and experience by joining the West Coast Sailing Club. This is a fantastic opportunity to stay connected with your fellow sailors, make new friends, and create treasured sailing memories.
