Certification
Achieve Sail Canada Start Keelboat Sailing certification. This entry level course covers much of the same material as the Basic Cruising Standard, at an introductory crew level. Hands on sailing skills along with a workbook format rather than an exam. Students completing this course will be able to contribute as competent crew to the operation of a sailboat with a fixed keel. |
Instruction
The course is taught on an easy to handle 24 foot sailboat. Students will learn basic sailing maneuvers including tacking, gybing, reefing sails and crew overboard recovery. The instructor will be on the boat with the students at all times. All our instructors are certified through Sail Canada. |
