Who is this course for?
Experienced sailors who are working towards the Advanced Standard. This is an opportunity to explore whether you are ready for the advanced course or if more training is required.  Apply and practice coastal navigation skills. Crew during the advanced course are often rusty with these skills. 
​Taking the five day prep course helps you to be ready for the five day challenge or the ten day Advanced Course.

course Description

 We board in the morning of day one and do a systems check and familiarize ourselves with the boat.  We will work on advanced sailing skills including sail trim, different methods of crew overboard recovery & docking.  During this course we will sail at night. Coastal Navigation by day and night will be a focus. The itinerary will be adjusted depending on weather to make the most of the training. We will sail in the Strait of Georgia, to the Gulf Island and or along the Sunshine Coast.

A typical itinerary might be:
Vancouver - Juan de Fuca - Broken Islands - Ucluelet one way
